As a photographer, I get a little excited when fall rolls around because the lighting is incredible. The sun sits lower in the sky, creating soft, golden light that flatters everyone. Instead of the harsh midday sun we often get during the summer, autumn evenings provide warm, glowing light that makes every image feel cozy and timeless.
Whether we’re exploring a mountain trail, wandering through colorful trees, or watching the sunset over the red rocks, fall light is hard to beat.
One of my favorite things about living in Southern Utah is the variety of landscapes we have within a short drive.

The Weather Makes Everyone Happier
Let’s be honest—everyone enjoys photos a little more when they aren’t sweating.
Fall temperatures make sessions so much more comfortable, especially for little kids. They’re happier, parents are less stressed, and everyone can relax enough to simply enjoy spending time together.
Some of my favorite family photos happen when kids are free to run, play, laugh, and explore. Those genuine moments are always the ones families end up loving the most.

One of my favorite quotes is, “We never get to be this age again.”
Your kids won’t always have those little hands reaching for yours.
They won’t always laugh the same way they do today.
They won’t always fit perfectly on your hip.
Time moves so much faster than we expect, and photographs are one of the few ways we get to hold onto these seasons of life.
As a mom myself, I understand how easy it is to put family photos off until life slows down. But the truth is, life rarely slows down. There will always be another busy week, another soccer game, another school event, or another reason to wait.

Hi! I’m Lindsey, a Southern Utah photographer, a mom to two energetic boys, and someone who believes photographs are one of the most meaningful gifts we can leave behind.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me hiking Cedar Mountain, exploring the outdoors with my family, listening to music, or editing photos way too late at night with a Beach Babe drink from Swig nearby.
I’ve loved photography for as long as I can remember. In fact, as a kid, I used to take photos of colorful fire hydrants just because I thought they were interesting. Looking back, maybe that should have been my first clue that I’d eventually fall in love with photography.
My goal is simple: to create photographs that help you remember this season of your life long after it has passed.
